Parables, limericks and sayings from different cultures, for different situations.

Filed by what they’re about — not by who said them, and not by the country they came from. Somebody looking for what people say about money should find a Yoruba line, a Tamil one and a Danish one on the same page, each credited to where it came from.

Nowhere else does that. Quotation books sort by the famous person. Proverb collections sort by nation. Almost nothing sorts by the subject itself, which is the only way anybody actually looks for one.

Six subjects: generations, love and marriage, money and work, friends and fools, getting older, and life. A wing called Sunnyheads holds six more, for the lines said to the young. A third, Critterlogs, holds what's said about animals, companion and wild.
